I Miss Blogging…

In the last year I’ve only written a handful of blog posts… and I truly miss it. It’s with good reason I guess. I got pregnant, quit my job, moved, had a baby, and opened a pizza restaurant. It’s been an incredibly busy and exciting year. You could probably apply most other adjectives to describe it. Needless to say, life has somewhat calmed down.

Here are the facts.

Norah Ellen Brown was born on Mother’s Day, May 10, 2015. Easiest birthday to remember ….5/10/15. It’s a good thing because the doctors ask me at least 10 times each visit. Oh, and she was born at 15:55 (3:55pm for those of you who don’t know military time). This kid has a thing with the number 5. She was 6 lbs. 2 oz. and 19.25 inches long.

3 Month Norah Ellen Brown

She’s already 3 months old and my most favorite person ever.

Benny Pennello’s opened when Norah was 2 weeks old. Yeah, that was crazy. I was pretty much MIA for the first few weeks of opening. Now that Norah is older and on a schedule, I go in a few nights a week when Bryan comes home from work. I’m also doing a lot of Benny’s tasks when Norah naps. So I’m a little conflicted whether or not I can categorize myself as a stay-at-home Mom or not. Some days seem crazy busy, but I’m with Norah most of the time and that makes me happy.

Benny Pennello's Opening

Now that we’re moved and settled, Norah was born, and Benny’s opened, I feel like my head is above water. There’s always tons of things going on to keep us busy, but it feels like we’ve reached our new “normal.”

We’re extremely lucky to have a baby that loves to sleep. She goes down each night at 7:30pm and sleeps almost 12 hours. When I’m not making pizzas, buried in Benny’s paperwork, or catching up on household chores, that means I now have some “free” time each evening. I’m thinking I would REALLY love to get back into blogging. Because who likes to sit around and relax??

That being said, I have no idea how often I’ll blog or even what kinds of things I’ll blog about. I still like to craft and bake, but now I have a baby which leaves life a little unpredictable and a lot of baby-related things on my mind. I’ll be spending the next few weeks updating my blog, traveling, and brainstorming, but keep checking back for posts soon!

It’s good to be back!
